    Edelbrock ProFlo 2 EFI help

This is for a friend of mine with a 496 BBC in a '92 454SS. He has retained the 4L80E and original PCM to run the trans , he has piggybacked TPS , CTS , and MAP and the trans shifts fine .

The problem we are having is Edelbrock had him modify a large cap HEI with a hall effect sensor to trigger their EFI so the original distributor and 4 pin plug that once sent a siginal to the PCM for engine rpm is gone . As you can probably figure the trans will shift but the convertor will not lock up due to a lack of an engine RPM siginal to the original PCM.

Would anyone here have a clue as to what siginal on which of the original 4 pin distributor plug we would need to aquire and where it might come from on the Edelbrock modified distributor so the convertor may lock up properly .

Here : http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_...3000/35510.pdf are the instructions for the system , on page 21 it shows the distributor conversion

Any more info needed , please ask.

    Thanks

    TOM

I'd ask tech support so you don't do something to void warrenty?

Usually when using a hall effect sensor it is to trigger GM EST which is wired into ECM as stock.

Only problem with asking Edelbrock is since Doug Stalter (ECTune on some of the boards) left , help is basically non existant...

There has to be a way to provide an rpm siginal to the factory PCM , I just have not figured it out.
