Hi all:

I am a newbie here. My interest is in converting my 1985 El Camino to TPI fuel injection. And this interest is what brought me here. I have the original 305 with some modifcations as follows:

1. 305 LG4 in decent shape with about 95k miles.

2. New timing chain and gears when I installed the Comp Cams 12-388-4 camshaft (a cam specified as being for TPI applications). The specs are intake lift of 425 and exhaust lift of 440 with lobe separation of 112 degrees and intake centerline of 108 degrees.

3. Real dual exhaust with no catalysts.

4. Stock LG4 heads have been replaced with aluminum L98 heads (58cc combustion chamber so that there is no loss in compression from stock heads).

I am trying to figure out the best route for such a TPI install. Additionally, I understand that GM had a lean cruise mode for some of its fuel injected motors. I would like to determine whether I can take advantage of such a lean cruise option with a TPI set-up.
