Bosch 044 for TBI?

I have been searching and not found anything specific to this pump being used with a stockish TBI. I currently run a lower PSI external pump mounted to a frame rail. I am considering a surge/swirl tank that accepts a Bosch 044 or equivalent in-tank pump (fed by a mechanical pump). I am concerned about the stock TBI pressure regulator being able to bypass that much pressure and flow.

Can anyone with experience with this combo comment on it?

I used one on a jeep 304 tbi conversion. did not have any issues with over powering the regulator. If i'm not mistaken the old Howell jeep conversions came with them too. I ran an aeromotive stealth 340lph pump with my TBI @ 18psi until I converted to MPFI @ 58 psi with no issues.
