FTDI for the win when it comes to usb stuff. The 8192 baud stuff is crazy and I think the main guy at FTDI must be a chevy guy cuz it seems to be the only usb to serial that works. lmao

Hey guys, I'm back at it again. Was on travel for work.

I am too interested in building an less-expensive cable as I suspect that my cable is the culprit (ALDL from ALDL cables). Also I plan on attempting to read from WinFlash later this weekend. Will update.

Back in the day I used a flip flop(7407 I think, been many years ago) on the max233 serial I made, so I am curious what y'all have tested and found works correctly with the usb. I've read the tie rx/tx together and just doesn't seem right in my head. Wouldn't be the first time reality and my head don't match though. lol
