    cylinder volume

    Hello ,
can somebody calculate the CID in an example?
For example I have the BPSA.bin, according to the BCC lookup it is for a 5.2 l engine.
    5, 200 = 3173.23 cubicinch / 8cyl = 396 but in the bin its 43,73
I tried this with other bins too but never came to the right value.
Excuse me I`m used to european measurements.

a litre is about 61.024 cubic inches. you've misplaced a decimal point. 5.2*61.024 = 317.32 cubic inches, divide by 8 and you get 39.6, not 396

every calibration i've seen uses that cylinder volume to tweak global fueling a bit, you can't trust that it's exact, but usually it's only off a few percent. it's typical to see something around 5.75 litres for a 5.7 or something.

43.73 works out to about 5.7 litres

you must be using a broken BCC lookup mine says it's for a 5.7

    hi steveo,
thank you for your quick reply. You are right, it was my mistake , i have 5,7 in my lookup as well. Now the calculation makes sense!
My lookup is from 24.08.2006 and has a second table. If you have the same one can you explain the second table?
If you have a newer lookup can you publish it here?
