LLoyd Elliot Ported Assault Racing 205cc heads

About a year ago I purchased a set of Assault Racing 205cc heads from Amazon. Put them together with Competition products and Comp Cams parts. 2.02/1.60 valves and double springs. 7/16" studs, guide plates and 1.7 rockers. I got bored and had to do some work on the short block. So I had Lloyd Elliot owner of Elliot Portworks who is a well known and respected cylinder head guru, port my Assault heads. I need to drive down and pick them up before I can get some pictures but he has already sent me the flow numbers. I spent some money for flow bench time before and after to document these heads. He also reworked the chamber and milled them 0.020" as well as revised the valve job and setup the springs which are now 150# on the seat and 375# open.

    BEFORE PORTING
    LIFT------INTAKE-----EXHAUST
    .200----------135-------103
    .300----------183-------131
    .400----------225-------150
    .500----------244-------164
    .600----------241-------175
    .700----------241-------177

    AFTER PORTING
    LIFT------INTAKE-----EXHAUST
    .200----------138-------107
    .300----------192-------138
    .400----------241-------164
    .500----------274-------183
    .600----------291-------193
    .700----------295-------199

Lloyd also did a set of 5.3l 862s for me, cut them for 2.00 intake valves, ported them and installed double springs setup at 155# seat and 400# open. Cleaned up the chamber and milled them 0.020" along with performing a nice valve job. They are going on the LQ4 6.0L G-van along with a different cam.

Are those hand ported or CNC? The finish looks great. And that's even 6cfm better at .600 than the AFRs 195s I have for mine.
    80 Camaro Z28 - 550hp AFR 383 / T56 6spd (Holley HP EFI)
    91 Beretta "SS" - 260hp 3400 MPFI / HM282 5spd (7730/$A1) sold! for crazy money...but I miss it
    94 Silverado Z71 - 300hp Vortec 357 TBI / NV4500 5spd (7427/$0D) gone but not forgotten
    96 Beretta "T56" - 4.8 LS RWD swap / 6spd (0411/2156)
    01 Silverado 2500HD - stock Vortec 8.1 / ZF6 6spd (0411/8322)

Hand ported. He also angle mills 23° heads down to 21° heads. Worth some power at high rpm.

Is the AFR Competition CNC worth it? I sometimes regret not paying- but at the time the regular option was enough $$.

Saw this today. Looks like Lloyds results are very similar to Weingarters in the under 0.600 range Lloyd concentrated on for my heads. Weingarter went with a 2.08 valve instead of 2.02. My exhaust ports flow less because Lloyd made the port exit the same size as the L31 exhaust gasket that matches the flanges of my 1-5/8" primary Thorley Tri-Ys.
