    pinout that I found for 68HC09 seems significantly different from that shown for 16021633 here:

    closest match that I have seen so far from pinout point of view is 6800, but even that has a few differences.

    Well, then, it looks like 6802. I have an old CoCo2 / TRS80 manual from the '80s, and at one point in the 6809 machine code section I'd penned in "Same processor as GM computer." Maybe not so much...

    I'm not convinced that it is a 6802 either :(

    Looking at the PCB, pin #5 is connected to pin #1 (which is ground).
    However, pin #5 is an output ('VMA') according to the 6802 datasheet.
    So unless Delco are in the habit of connecting outputs to ground, I guess it must be something other than a 6802.
    Confused.
