    95 lt1 injector timing? Tunerpro

Ok I've been experiencing some stubborn surging at cruise with my big cam lt1 (lunati 60123)as well as fluctuations in my afr. I've seen a few people bring up injector open timing? I'm really not familiar with a few things here. I know the injector timing is important when it comes to big ass cams like mine and what it means and all that junk but as far adjustments and how to I'm at a loss. I'm running tunerpro eehack scan9495 and trimalyzer for software. If anyone could educate me out here it'd be much appreciated.

Some info on the build. 355 11.6:1
    Lunati 60123
    Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 294/302
    Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 243/251
    Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .560/.565
    LSA/ICL: 110/106
With 1.6rr (they came with the heads I know 1.5s are a better choice as are better heads)
    36lb injectors
    52mm tb
Longtubes y and muffler and dumped
    Full emissions delete
    SD tune by me (unfortunately)

injection timing is really just fine tuning and shouldn't be causing surging like that, although it's possible that injector offsets being totally out to lunch would cause some AFR problems at low airflows.

i see you're running speed density, it's possible your VE table is a mess, but i'd look more at ignition timing, which has to be determined experimentally

best way to do that is hold it in a range of surging and have a passenger move the timing advance slider in eehack up and down to see if than smooths it out. if it does, you'll know about how much timing to add/subtract in cruising range

if you're running a manual bin you might want to check this out too, it can bite you when you're at very low TPS during cruising and coasting... http://fbodytech.com/tutorials/fix-l...e-stall-saver/

I've got the ve pretty close the surging has gotten much better but It still exists more of a buck really and with it I notice on my wideband it leans out that's why I was thinking fuel maybe. But that stall saver thing I had no idea about I'll be looking into that! Definitely adds up. It is a manual.
I'll get back with you when I get a chance to mess with it. It's winter here in Ohio lol.

Also thanks for eehack and everything you've done for the lt community. if you need anything let me know.

do you have any datalogs of when it's acting up? it's really easy to see on a log if that stall saver thing is causing trouble

I should I'll check. I did change the voltage offset because it wasn't corrected for my injectors but didn't touch the offset adder. from what I've gathered with my injectors I need to zero that out. I also had issues higher up in the rpm range up to 2500 under low throttle but only under low throttle cruise or really light acceleration. Anyway I'll fire up.the laptop and see what I have

What I have is all csv exported from scan 9495 I was having issues with eehack csv export in version 4.70 not sure why probably operator error. Not sure how I'd go about it but I have the current .bin and the previous with a log if seeing it might help

Well it wasn't the stall saver causing the issue. Back to the lab again I guess. I'm going to zero out my offset and see what I get once all this snow is over.

I have the same exact cam but with 1.5 RR but I don't have any of your problems with surge. I have what I believe to be a eoit problem. And been receiving help from a few members and getting it taken care of. But the same as you it's winter here in Illinois also :(

I just got hip to the the eoit settings today from what I'm gathering +1=15degrees is that right? Been struggling to find a good explanation there and how to actually adjust it. What are you coming out with?

Ok so I did some head scratching and with my cam I should be aiming for between +1 to +1.5 to fix the Injection timing issue with a max of +2. Stock is 6 so 6/24*360. My exaust valve closes roughly around 25 degrees later than stock so 1/24*360=15 intake duration is no issue here you could probably add 2 or atleast 1.5 and that should solve the issue. I'll be testing this as soon as weather permits

Figures in the xdf need to be viewed in hex.
    They show as 3,4,5 etc but are actually 0x30 0x40, 0x50 in hex , 3x16 4x16 5x16
Each hex 10 has 16 decimal devisions == 90 degrees
So each hex unit is worth 90/16 degrees. Or 5.625 degrees.

That’s based on the info we have until someone disproves it.

I don't know anything about hex. Are you saying 1= 5? That doesn't seem to be much

    1 is 5.625 degrees
    16 x 5.625 is 90 degrees

The xdf will probably show eoit at about 90c as 6
This is actualy 60 when viewed in hex
    This is 6 x 16
    Or 6x 90 degrees

Ok so in the xdf then what should i be adding? I'm really not getting this. If i add 1 in the eoit in the xdf so 6 is now 7 I've changed how much?

You need to view the table in hex.
View the table and menu over it.
    Top line-> Show raw hex
The 6 should view as 60

    6 to a 7 change is 90 degrees ( 16 * 5.625 )

Kur4o has changed this looking at his last xdf he posted. It's now in showing degrees.
