Help with cold run $0D and $0E

I put together a 1989 GMC C3500 454 using $0E and cant pin down what to change to lean it out when it’s running cold, after start-up till about 150*F. It runs so rich it spits and sputters and if it dies I have to clear flood before it will start again. My dad just started his 78 cutlass with 403ci running $0D pfi last week and it is doing the same thing as my truck when cold. Any help is always appreciated!!

    merry Christmas everyone

It's a good plan to correct the VE tables before adjusting other fuel parameters ("Choke", "Warm Up", "AE" and "PE"). The computer will add fuel by increasing the injector pulse width, for the other fuel parameters based on corrected VE tables. If the VE table is rich then the other fuel parameters will be rich too.

Well on my c3500 I have gotten the open throttle ve really close to 128 blm up to about 4000rpm BUT....I didn’t see where I was supposed to enter the injector flow and cylinder volume, probly a lot of other stuff too. I was waiting till I had a free day to change cylinder volume and injector flow. On my dads cutlass he has only ran it twice for about 5 minutes, he just finished the pfi conversion. Thanks for the reply we’ll keep plugging along and see what happens
