    Hello and Welcome.

Are you planning to convert an original AMC V8 to EFI?

Yes, I am looking around to understand if it is possible and how much is the cost.
Here in Italy it is not easy to find a donor vehicle

It is possible. You will need to install an electric fuel pump, the throttle body, wiring, and ecm, and you will need to find a way to convert AMC distributor to work with GM computer. There is another forum member from Germany working on a similar conversion.

In Italy it is not easy to find a donor vehicle so,I'm considering installing an howell efi kit on a jeep cj7 with amc 304 engine.
(howell emission compliant version has vss, offroad kit does not have vss)
Although you don't need to pass smog tests,
I have read mixed opinions about the fact that it is better to have the vss to avoid engine stall problems at idle speed if the vehicle is in motion.
    can someone help me?
