The 1228062 is $4E and can burn a chip for them. We have a $4E info thread:

It's basically a 1227747 C3 160 Baud ECM. If your trying to swap most all the parts on motor are same except the ECM and plugs. We have a thread how to rewire the 1227747 to 16197427. There's some details below:

I have a 87 S10 blazer with a 3.4 gm crate engine, auto and the stock [?] ecm. I have a few mods:4.3 tbi, freeflow exhaust[not hedders] and will add the caddy cold air intake.I assume I could pick up a little power and or economy with a tune.Right now I have the stock 87/2.8 ecm in it. I have a spare 8062 [4.3] and the 7427 I just picked up.If one of the other ecm's will work I will save the 7427 for another project,I'm here to learn.
It will work and would be easier to use what's there. Also a little easier to learn and tune on.
BUT! The 16197427 is a much better PCM.
