    Help with eehack

I'm getting a tune done by Solomon, and I've had no issues, until it came time to log. I've been able to successfully log data using eehack. When I go into eehack, I can load the files and see the logs using the dashboard; HOWEVER, when I attempt to retrieve the log files and attach them to an email, they are not there. When I save the file to my desktop, it's showing as a 0 byte file. This is a Windows 10 PC, so I'm wondering if there is anything I need to do differently. All hidden file filters are removed, so it's not a matter of the file being hidden. They are simply not there when I go into the output folder, unless I'm using the eehack program. Any suggestions???

Same problem as well. Can't see or open log data or saved CSV. But they ARE visible in eehack. @steveo any thoughts?

is the message you're exporting full of data?

can you take some screenshots of what you're doing?

it works for me, if i load a log i was playing with before, it loads, then i go to the main tab (where the data is) and export csv, and it exports a file with data

I sent you an email with a screenshot.

eehack works fine and does all that, but Windows 10 does not show any of the .eedata or resultant CSV files as viewable in File Explorer. BUT they are listed in the 'recent files' menu. Then, if I double-click on one, Excel says that the file cannot be found. It also says that the file size is zero if I right-click on it.

    FIXED - here's the solution.

SOLUTION - thanks to @steveo for the suggestions.

For some reason, if you leave the default eehack folder as: C:\Program Files (x86)\EEHack,
The .eedata files and any CSVs you save will NOT be visible in the Windows file explorer menus.

The solution is to change that folder to somewhere else, like in My Documents. To accomplish that,
    1. Open eehack.
    2. Click "Settings"
    3. Under the File Options section, click "Set Directory" and change the path to a different folder, like in My Documents.

If you already have a bunch of logs saved in the default folder, you'll need to move them from within the EEhack file dialog window. To do that:
    1. Click the "Load" button on the upper right side of the main screen.
    2. Within that window, select the files you want to move and right-click "cut".
    3. Navigate to the new folder, and right-click "paste."

Steveo and I aren't sure why this is happening, but this is the fix for it.
