Here is the log C/L with the EST unplugged and in park, timing is at 10 and solid.

    UNPLUGGED_LOG.txt

Here is the log C/L in idle with EST plugged in, timing is at 20 and mark is a little erratic.

    SENSOR_LOG.txt

Keep in mind that I am using a stock SA table with these logs so the idle RPM is about where I think it should be. I want to run a more advance table but then the idle will be much higher.

Well looking a those logs, I don't see anything wrong other than the BLM pulling a bit of fuel to keep the INT around 128. 26 IAC counts is still a little high. Does this thing have AC? AC pressure switch wire hooked up or not? Just trying to think of all the things that would bring idle up, commanded or not.

that bin has ID of ASDU is it an ASDU bin you started with? I found lots of things changed in spark paremeters and don't know what they would all add up to? Going to make them stock so you can check and then work on main table...

No I dont have the A/C hooked up yet, was going to do that later on.

Thanks Mark, I never really paid attention to the ID, does it need to be changed? I have a bunch of different stock bins that I have tried, too many I think. FSJ Guy gave me a few to try since they were geared toward an AMC engine. The frustrating part is that when you change the spark table it throws off the fuel so I need to finalize spark so I can really do some VE tuning.

if you run a more advanced timing at idle the ecu should close the IAC a little to bring the idle back down.

keep in mind too much timing at idle will actually hurt power and require more IAC counts.

    i've done that one before.

Well I found lots of things changed, maybe someone needed them. But you don't have fuel and spark set yet so all those things should be left alone, they are all paremeters adjustments based off VE and Spark. So if VE and Spark are not correct you can fix that spot with something else but then???

I put everything back to stock, turned off EGR properly, left your fuel and spark tables but smoothed them out and gave you steady timing at idle. Initial timing is set for 10 with wire disconnected, why this high? Half that is about normal. I found several IAC changes that would add 30 to 50 counts at differant temps which may be your idle issue. I put knock retard spark back, it was gone? I literally went over every paremeter. I did not touch the choke settings that were changed because it may have been an adjustment you made, and I did not put back PE spark taken out, cause I don't know why you took it out.

This should idle and run good. Then can go back to recording BLM data to see where your at. Remember to turn off PE and start with warmed up vehicle to record good BLM data!

I also applied the BPW hack, TPS% hack and Spark Advance Hack so you can see these in matching ADX file. To see actual spark advance you will have to change the conversion on that value. Conversion end is 0.000000 and your timing at distributor is 10 or 5 would be better so change to 10.000000 or 5.000000

Wow thanks Mark for being so thorough, it is very much appreciated. Which ADX file are you using? Does switching between ADX files mess up the bin file? I wouldn't think so but I could be wrong.

As far as changing the conversion value do you mean here?

Did you find the conversion tab on bottom to change conversion like PJG has shown?

ADX will not mess with bin file, it only reads data from ECM. XDF is the one to make changes to bin file.

Also the ADX you have is for Turbo 400 which is not that much differant but there's nothing in it you need. Here is the other $42 adx and XDF for 700r4 with all the hacks and data for hacks. These are next version and they both have more info then ones in info thread. These are the ones everyone should be using unless they have a factory turbo 400.

Ok, I did a 15 mile run using Marks modified bin and here is the file. I was running lean in most of the cells but I made those adjustments after the run. The only glaring issue is (and I have had this with most of my bins) I have to really feather the throttle off the line or it will want to stall and backfire. Once the rpms get up a bit it has some power. I can't fire out if this is VE or timing. Once I get that figured out I think it will be a solid bin. Thanks!

Yeah but does it idle? That was your issue right?

The other issues you mention now all seem like tune or fuel pressure. What is your fuel pressure? Clean filter?
