    Which ECM should I use?

Im putting a Cadillac 4.9 (92 Deville) in my 86 Fiero GT. Isthe 1227747 the one I need to use or would the 122730 be better? If I’m correct the Deville has the cam sensor in the dizzy so the 7747 should work. Or am I smoking crack and way off point? And yes there will be more N00b questions cause I’ve never done this and I’m learning.

    Thanks for any insight!

I recently set up a 16197427, converted to MPFI Mode, on a Cadillac 4.9 liter using an older Cadillac HEI Distributor without vacuum advance / with a 7 pin ignition module. Custom PROM chip required. Details on TBI to MPFI attached.

The injectors are re-wired for Bank - One ( Injectors for cylinders 1,3,7,7) and Bank - Two (Injectors for cylinders 2,4,6,8). MPFI is just like a Chevy 350 Tuned Port Injection (TPI) engine, all four injectors on Bank - One spray fuel, then all four injectors on Bank - Two spray fuel at a rate of Once Every 4th Distributor Reference Pulse (DRP).

Can't thank you enough, you wouldn't happen to have a wiring diagram would you?

Dave w I'm curious. The 4.9 u set up did it use a tbi throttle body for iac use.as I understood the tbi ecms do not have a driver for isc that 4.9 pfi throttle body uses.that was part of why I asked about using the 2240 ecm.other part was in reading on a fiero site they seem to make using the 2240 very easy if the engine is stock.custom prom required for vats etc depending on transmission. I already know I'm going to use the 7427 and adapted a dodge throttle body for my pfi set up but it would be nice to see alternatives.also was there a reason u did not use the electronic hei distributor from the 4.9.did that have to do with phasing? Please do tell

20180825_181958.jpg 4.1 manifolds.both were listed as right side.I just wanted them to modify for my jimmy.they will outlast the mild steel headers I made that are on it now.hth

A couple of notes.cadillac 4.1 4.5 4.9 use same icm.I just picked up a couple right side exhaust manifolds off e bay for 4.1.they are stainless tube style.almost like a block hugger header but even shorter.anyway I got them because the cast iron manifolds seem to Crack a lot.both are cracked on the 92 deville I just got.but they look like they'd suit a fiero engine bay pretty good with a few mods.
