Lot to digest, thanks again Dave, very much appreciated. S.O.B.B. I looked at those headers but they were 150-200$ on ebay a piece and they don't dump out where I want them to. I thought about getting a set and cutting them up to dump where I want, but it would be easer to have plates made and make my own headers from scratch, which I will most likely end-up doing.
Is there a doc to show how to hookup a computer on a bench and program it without it being in the car?
The set I have now I made myself. Cost me 60 bucks for a vw van header that had enough bends to make the set.I cut the plates from 3/8" plate and used a set of gaskets as a starter template.I did these by eye b4 I swapped the v8 and I was off a bit and had to make adjustments. But they work and sound pretty good.I lost my pics from my phone but there are clearer pics under my user cp.20170423_181031.jpg the tubes are 1.5" as I couldn't make 1.625" fit in plate.the exhaust ports are pretty small.the ecm does not need to be hooked up to program it.if u look back through one of my posts Dave w sent me a link that gave a good tutorial on chip burning and such.it takes reading it over a few times but once u learn it it's very simple.post #18 from my which fuel injection system is best for cadillac 4.5 pfi. There are also pics of what needs to be done to burn chips.I took the cheap way but moates has all u need for doing it with new parts manufactured just for this.hth it's a lot of reading but we'll worth the benefits of being able to change just about anything.

Screenshot_2018-08-26-14-32-22.jpg Screenshot_2018-08-26-14-31-54.jpg if u see these from different angles it's not hard to cut the outlet and point where u want and cut off the down pipe outlet and weld a cut piece of tube over the hole.I've seen a few custom sets of headers for 4.9 fiero and a few looked cry close to the head like the factory 4.1 manifold. I just liked that they are stainless.

I can't believe I stumbled across this... I just picked up a 94 Cadillac deville with the 4.9 to drop in the 86 fiero that started off as a gambler 500 rig. I have the vehicles and an assortment of parts, including the intake manifold/tb/fuel rails off the Allante...
This thread came up as I was trying to learn just how to and what's needed to program the chip.
I'm planning on keeping the 4t60e trans from the caddy
K, first noob question, using 0D_TPV5_v250.xdf and BHMD 94 C-K Truck 5.0TBI 4l60e with 3.73 or 3.42 gears.bin in tuner pro. I need it to be manual, which I check marked in "flags". I also want VATS and EGR gone, what do I need for that? And thank you for helping, I am learning and trying not to be a pain.
With very few exceptions (94/95 LT1 computers), 1986 - 1995 OBD1 computers use chips.
Moates.net is a good source for software and hardware to program chips. http://support.moates.net/beginners-programming-chips/
