I looked at this and we added three channels for AutoProm that use 2 bits each but we did not include it is reply. Reply was 20 and is now 26.

Anyway I've been getting ready to pull the LT1 motor and 4l60e trans from my Roadmaster all day and the wife has been running errands in my 1227747 test vehicle so I haven't been able to test. Here it is give it a shot and data log.

I added all three channels to sensor data list so just open list view and you should see readings on top of list, or change a dash value.

Yeah we got data but something is wrong... why is there data on all three channels? Unless you got power going to ground or a bad ground I have no idea why it's going to all three input channels? Or something wrong with AutoProm?

EDIT: I had address wrong on channel tree. You have data on 2 channels so it may be off by a byte, I'm looking at it now...

There are 3 channels on AutoProm. Each channel has 2 bytes. I made six values to check each one.

    Channel 1 is 21 and 22
    Channel 2 is 23 and 24
    Channel 3 is 25 and 26

You have data on 21, 23, 24, 25... Sporadic data on 21 and only steady data is 23 and 24 which is channel 2? And 25 which is half of channel 3? Something is wrong?

    *5 = 0->5V ADC value
This means you need to set up the ADX to look at a 16bit number, specify the packet offset (21, 23, or 25) and set bytes to 2. I think the conversion should still be the same as for a 10bit value, as that is all that is being used.

Mark that is what I was trying to wrap my head around earlier today.

They are set to 16 bit. But just to simplfy we will talk about channel 1. The standard ALDL packet is 20 bytes so adding MSB and LSB is 21 and 22, ADX would be set to 22. Same as setting up Prom ID or what we converted to BPW hack and both work fine. 22 has nothing on it? 21 has spoatic data?

That still leaves why data is coming into channel 2 on 23 and 24... and channel 3 on 25 while 26 is dead 0? There should be nothing on these channels if nothing is hooked to the inputs on AutoProm. He is putting data on one channel which should come out in 2 bytes 21 and 22. But has data on half of 1, all of 2 and half of 3? And I even checked bytes before and after and nothing?

Odd? I have an email into Moates for tech support as I want to get this done for the $42 adx. But they are closed till 4/23...

I've used mine before like this on other ECM, don't remember if I ever did $42? Thouhgt I had it done but lost the settings in an upgrade... I usually have LC-1 software recording data and only use the WB for WOT tuning...

well thats fine...ill continue on with doing a better log for spark and fueling changes...now that ive been driving on the new spark table for a while i have noticed some slight pinging...would i be better off using the wb instead of the 3 wire o2 to feed ecm?

No the simulated narrow band is not all that great. Just data log and adjust VE the way you have and get fuel correct, it's probably off with the new spark tables. Then look for knock/ping and deal with spark.

not trying to hijack the thread, but how do you log a wideband o2 for an lt1?
as in any editing of the adx or any special items or changes?
i am going to borrow one in the weekend and i want to use it for my advantage
    thanks in advance guys

I don't know of a way to wire it into a LT1 PCM. So if you don't have an AutoProm like we are working on here you would have to run the wideband to laptop and WB software.

maybe not into the pcm, but could you get a plug in for tunerpro or something like that? if that makes sense... im just asking because id like to see my a/f ratio when im datalogging, it'd be nice to have a little gauge there too

I've never found a way to get into same data log as TP without AutoProm? Always a seperate log from Wide Band softare, I use the LC-1 but if I had to buy again I think maybe something else, it's great and accurate but installation wiring is a pain...

There's more then one way to skin a cat. My way is tune with BLMs, I only use WB for WOT!
