I am fairly new to tuning, I recently did an engine swap which resulted in me having a 2.8L GM V6 in my car, with the factory TBI system. I tried using the original ECM with it, however it ran like trash and the tune bin and adx files I could find for it seemed pretty limited, so I switched to a 1227747 ECM. The car ran great, however when I went to tune it I realized the ECM was shot and was running in limp home mode the entire time. I should've had the check engine light wired up initially and I would have seen it through the code but thats how things go. I got another 1227747 ECM from a junkyard nearby, did the socket upgrade and have a chip in it now with a 4.3 v6 bin in it as my base, with the BPW adjusted to match the 2.8 engine, but nothing else really changed other than the EGR delete patch applied.
I have read a few of the guides but I am still uncertain on how to go about using the logging to interact with tunerpro to tune the car so it runs well, as right now it does run good until the engine will randomly shut off and the logs seem to just flatline. I am thinking I need to get the fuel and spark more in line with what my 2.8 is expecting, however I am not exactly sure what that entails. Any and all help is appreciated!
