Throttle Kicker and TCC in $0D and a 16197427

So I've been struggling for a LONG time with this one:

    Situation:
94 Blazer, SBC removed, BBC installed
    16197427 PCM
4L60 Trans from Finish Line Trans- top of the line build
Tune from a guy here in Denver

    Symptoms:
After a couple years I noticed that TCC would hunt in and out around 30 MPH 4th gear. Would finally engage solid at higher speed and light load

    Troubleshooting:
Long story- here is the short of it
Modified bin (using Tuner Pro) to completely remove TCC activation- still would hunt in and out... as verified by touching the brake (then it would stop).
Put o-scope on TCC tan/black wire
The ECM is pulsing the TCC clutch - even in park huh???
100ms period or so, 20ms engaged, 80ms disengaged
    tap the brake, pulsing stops
get up to cruising speed and the line goes low as expected to engage the TCC
Whenever the TCC is supposed to be dis-engaged... the signal pulses

After a LOT of time I determined (binary search) that the Enable Throttle Kicker flag is the culprit.

Disable Throttle kicker, TCC line does not pulse and works as it should
Enable Throttle kicker, TCC line pulses

This seems VERY jacked up. But I confirmed it 6-ways to Sunday.

Maybe you guys all know about this... but in case not... I wanted to share... maybe it will help someone someday.

If anyone is interested, I can post a link to a video of all of this.

All my stuff operates on $OE and has throttle kickers. Looking through my $OD files I don’t see any that have throttle kicker active. Did any OD vehicles even come with a kicker? I would guess maybe a lot of kicker parameters are in the bin but if you turn it on things won’t work properly. I know with my OE turning kicker on and off changes how it runs. Nothing you can put your finger on but different.

Good question- I've only seen a kicker on the 454 but not sure. I guess the question of history would be why the $0D XDF file contains that bit definition though if it never was used on $0D. I know these things are not guaranteed though...

I have no idea what the definition was, or even the ecm. The only vehicle I remember seeing a throttle kicker on was a manual equipped dumptruck before I even started playing with chips. I thought there was an idle speed issue when I drove the truck in so I popped the hood and saw an idle solenoid just like the BBC C50/C60 trucks with Holley carb.

The XDF I am referring to is Advanced_$0D_TP5_v251.xdf

I should have put that in the original post with the other info about ecm etc.

So anyway to follow up... my opinion is that the Advanced_$0D_TP5_v251.xdf file ... or any $0D xdf file should not have the Enable Throttle Kicker bit defined... it just does bad things and as far as we know, $0D didnt have throttle kickers implemented... am I right?

Thanks all for your input... this ends a VERY long and expensive debug project for me :)
