Can I change the VE tables's RPM labels (PE tuning)?

Can I change the RPM labels?

This ECU comes with RPM as:

    400
    800
    1200
    1600
    2000
    2400
    2800
    3200

Reason I ask is: how can I tune PE at all, if the VE doesn't go higher than 3200?

Could I not change them to (for example):

    400
    1000
    2000
    3000
    4000
    5000
    6000

You can change the labels in the tuning software but it's like putting a Ford emblem on a Chevy. Nothing actually changes.

VE is a total of VE plus VE Adder. The VE adder uses the highest entry in the VE table along with the VE adder cell or cells for the current RPM. PE AFR is calculated by the ECM based on the combined VE from the two VE tables.

So PE fueling is just math by the ECU. To tune PE, do I alter the adder table at the select RPM, since the main VE table stops at 3200?
