Deep 6.5 thoughts by Jack Handy

    95 C2500 6.5 turbo diesel 16212488 PCM

This truck uses an APP sensor on pedal to feed the PCM with three different voltage ranges to calculate TPS% Angle.

Now this is where it goes way over my head. How and where does the PCM use those voltages to to calculate TPS%?

    Hardware? Software?

The PCM hardware should read these as 3 separate 0-5 volt input signals and the software will use these values to calculate a TPS value.

Sounds reasonable, kind of what I had imagined. Is this a parameter that could be defined in the XDF? Or just written in code?

I flipped though the disassembly here: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...4&d=1331397174 and found this section

    ;************************************************* ***********************
    ;* MODULE START: APP CONDITIONING
    ;************************************************* ***********************

The DIS shows where it is reading values from the 3 potentiometers. Its going to take some stepping through the code to see where the final value is calculated. From what I glanced through, it has three pots. One increasing voltage with increasing throttle and two decreasing voltage with increasing throttle .
