    Another new guy

    Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to say hi. I spent the last week installing a GM based TBI system on my 86 Jeep Wagoneer. 360cid with HEI, 7747 ECM and apparently the Green/White 5.0L 40 lb/hr GM 5235279 injectors but I was told it was from a 5.7L. I am having problems with either timing, IAC or fuel but I can't figure out which. I am hoping I can get some help here.

    Thanks!
    Scott R.

I'd say fuel from what you have said. What are you using for tuning and data logging?

Welcome abord Scott! The 5.0L green white should be 50pph, here's a list of injectors:

This forum is for introductions and glad your here. But start a thread in the GM EFI section and we will get you going right direction. If your motor is stock you could probably tune those injectors with an adjustable regulater and raising fuel pressure. Or getting the 5.7L injectors. There's still a chance you may need an adjustable regulater with the 7747 as it comes from factory at over 100% VE in some areas... GM messed up...

Thanks EagleMark, I will get a thread going over there shortly. The info about the injector rating I got from this site. http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/di...ctor-info.html

It was the first site that came up on the Internet search so I have no clue if the data is valid or not. :)

I'll have to look, thirdgen is known for good tech. But the injector specs on that page I listed were gone over by a experianced tuner. Course some are based on 12psi and some at 13psi and some say GM injectors can be 10% off. Even adding all that up don't make 10pph...

That post was from 2003... pretty sure things have changed there since then. Grumpy was a pioneer of GM ECM EFI stuff and missed...
