    coming back to gearhead EFI

Been away for 3 or so years and figured I would post here again since I had to reactivate my account. It's also a good place to record what I'm about to post.

So hello again everybody, new and old.
This is what I am working with now.

Full frame off restoration on My 1989 Chevrolet Silverado Stepside.
K5 progressor or whatever ball joints
all front suspension and steering brand new save gearbox to the steering wheel
every bolt touching the frame is grade 8 yellow zinc on por-15 coated rust free frame.
still using rear-end and shafts with new bearings and seals.( E locker later)
    most connectors and wires replaced
g2 adapter and 27f15whatever chip with my tunerpro tune
New calipers, stainless braided brake hose, drilled slotted rotors, new drums, new brake booster
stainless braided fuel line and hose to new sender and pump in old tank
energy suspension Red bushings all around on everything.
15x10 pacer wheels cooper cobra radial gt 275r15
    700r4 auto transmission

    ENGINE;
temporary 350 from a 94 z71 or something? that is what I was told
    tbi 1" spacer
    injector pod spacer
    afpr
    3 wire o2 sensor
    innovate wideband o2
    higher pressure fpr spring
    egr delete
    ac delete
    electric cooling fan
open element air filter and cowl hood
longtube headers goin into 2.5' turbo cats and out chrome patriot sidepipes
temporary engine and tranny so i can get everything ready and make sure all wires, sensors, gauges, and everything work together first, before I drop the new ones in.
Just need new paint, bench seat, 2 bumpers, 2 mirrors, rear end, engine and tranny and it will be immaculate.

So far it runs like a champ.
currently working on hi-way lean cruise

    Welcome back.

It's nice to know some of the early GMT400's are going to stay around for a while. Except for the light duty brakes GM sometimes used, those trucks were pretty good.
