If it is soldered into the memcal one option would be to use jumper wires with two male ends, then plugging one in into the memcal, the other into the corresponding location on the chip burner/reader. The APU-1 and I believe the Burn2 from Moates have read/write capability. But dont quote me on that. I know the APU does.
