    tunerpro bin will not load $4F

    Hello all,

    tunerpro rt, autoprom, 5.7 tbi 1228747 $4f.

    I do not use tunerpro often but every time i feel like I am banging y head against the wall. In the past I have successfully used the program, burned chips and emulated without a problem.

    I am attempted to do a little tuning today and the Bin will not load. I have all the same files as before (from this site) loaded,

    I can;
    read the bin data in TP.
    initialized the Autoprom hardware.
    upload a bin file.
    verify the upload success.

    But the bin never takes, as in no change to the motor, and if i then download the bin back from the Autoprom to TP it is always blank. As in the data is all cells is 0.

    Also, but not as important.
    This is the part that makes me insane, (and i know it is user error) Last night, TP read the bin file but would not load. Same senario as written above so i gaveup for the night. This morning, it would not read the bin right, like I had the wrong maskID. I checked and recheck, loaded and reloaded the mask and the data was a jumbled mess. I finally removed and reinstalled TP and set up again from scratch and now it reads the $4F fine.

    Please someone confirm I am a mental case.
    Chris

    Sounds like an offset problem if you're seeing data cells filled with zeroes.

    Ahhh...that was a post haste. Don't think there's any relevance, trying to copy a chip with wrong offset followed by reading w tprt...bunch of zeroes in VE tables.
