    trying to learn something new

Hi guys, thanks for the opportunity to join.

I just found your forum because I am rebuilding / modding my 1996 S10 SS with a NV3500. Right now I am learning how to use TunerPro with the stock pcm before to move forward to a v8 swap.

    Thanks,
    Irving

1996 is a year that has very limited support for tuning! 1996 should be OBD2. With very few exceptions, TunerPro is for OBD1.

Some 1996 vehicle owners upgrade to a newer computer when converting to a V8. Some 1996 computers include ABS, which can complicate a computer upgrade. A computer upgrade requires completely re-pinning the computer connectors and a custom flash.

The challenge to convert to a V8 is not overwhelming, but has many technical details that can make or break success! (detai$ = succe$$)
