    injector sizing

    small block chev Gen 1
    new 396 stroker

I have 24 lbs injectors at 43.5 lbs currently in my 350 port fuel engine

Will be changing my BPC for the new engine be adequate for fueling or am I needing larger injectors?

Would you suggest increasing fuel pressure instead? I am running a GM TPI fuel pump.

I am thinking that engine should be in the 480-500 hp range with the right heads, headers, and exhaust. Your 24 lb/hr injectors will come up short. Need something more in the 36-42 lb/hr range. My 350 and later 383 had 26 lb/hr @ 43.5 psi LT4 injectors and the mild TPI based 383 consumed almost all the fuel the LT4 injectors could flow at 50 psi (~28 lb/hr).

I figured so. Thanks for confirming.

ps I think I will run current inj's for a while and datalog DC and BLM on daily driving..

I was told that running N20 does not require more FP to accommodate "needs". I have 100 HP jets in now. Fuel pump is another question.....
