I have a 1990 s10 with an iron duke and some mild engine mods, cam, a/m RRFPR (disconnected), no cat, cleaned up intake and head, a valve job and non stock rockers.
12.6 psi fuel pressure.
10*btdc base timing with the ab terminals jumped.
using the 1227165 computer from an unknown year 2.5.
using aswy.bin with no modifications the engine runs fairly good but has some small issues.
no vac leaks, all new gaskets throughout the engine.
once I get the data stream working some of the things do not seem correct, I have tried 83, 94, 6E, 32, 32b.
83 and 94 produced a good connection but many things where not correct, like tps voltage (.8v-2.6v) my other scanner reads correct (.45-4.4).
things like injector pwm reads 0 but on my other scanner reads correct.
my other scanner is an old snap-on, and selecting the correct year make and model produces good results.
some of the .bins I tried caused the engine to race once started, others caused backfiring or a no start.
this vehicle had a manual swap performed and still has the shifter on the tree, and a shifter on the floor for the actual trans.
moving the tree shifter from P/N causes the engine to race to about 2200.
one of the main issues the blm is at 128 usually but the interrogator usually sits around 65 at idle.
