    xdf-bin-adx files in TunerPro RT

I have read many references to the importance of xdf-bin-adx files and the order in which they are loaded into TunerPro. One question for me is how important is it that these three files are "specific" for a PCM? My reason for concern is if there isn't any leeway and one file is incompatible with another that leads to TP not work properly, then I would not be able to recognize the conflict/problem.

Lastly, I recently acquired a Moates AutoProm setup and plan to download the .bin in my currently installed ECM. When I do that, will TP be downloading copies of these 3 files?

Yes, it's important that you use the correct complimentary files.

the only file you'll get from the EEPROM is the BIN file, the others are user created to be able to look at the information contained in the BIN file (XDF) and the data stream (ADX). There is an entire forum with a link at the top of this forum that contains therads dedicate to each ECM/PCM and mask. You should be able to find the files you need in there.

Hi Handyman: Think six is trying to lure you to the little box in the line under the red and yellow car.
Are you going tbi ? tpi? obdl? obdll?
You may want to look at the GM sub forum or the how to new and old sub forum.
    Good luck either way.

Bob and Six, thanks for the help and handholding. I found the .xdf and .bin files for my 16144288. Now, the dilemma is which ones to use.

Bob, my S10 is a '92 Vin Z so TBI and OBDI. This stuff is all new to an old school carb guy like me.

Six, once you pointed out the sub-forum, I realized I had gone there but was looking for the BCC BARL. I still haven't been able to find it.

    Again, thanks guys!!!
