    16197427 $OE without VSS?

Anyone tried this yet? Complications? Changes in bin needed? It's a manual trans so no issues there...

My son's IH conversion is almost done and may be running this week. We still have no VSS... so as I mentioned in other thread I may run and tune this and drive awhile, at least till his next paycheck when he can order a VSS. Then compare differences.

I did do this with 1227747 $42 and after a years driving, installed a VSS and difference was very apparent. Idle was also better. With the 16197427 being a much better PCM I don't want to go without an important input. But it looks as though we have (been forced) a chance to test without!

being a manual, it can probably be done without too much complaining from the PCM, but expect to disable the VSS DTCs at a minimum.

Gregs78Cam just stopped by the house and he has done this already with 16197427 $OD so testing has been done. He found same results I did with 1227747. Much better with VSS but do-able without!

My results are burried somewhere in my 7427 thread. But when I first swapped it in, I had the VSS hooked to the wrong pin on the pcm, and didnt have the input not from drac set.
I did all my fuel map and a few other tuning whatnots before I even noticed the speed gauge on the datalog dash wasnt reading. Biggest thing I remember is once I got the vss right, I got full dfco, where before that, I only got DE.
