NO OBD1 Connection

Casey and Steveo,

When you say don't power the laptop off of the car battery, are you saying there is a consequence to doing that? So, whenever doing any kind of tuning activities, i.e., emulation, data logging, etc., the laptop should be running off of its own internal battery power. For educational purposes, what exactly is happening to impact the tuning activities.

you don/t want to use a inverter or a direct connection to power your pc, I have a old hp that runs off 13 volts if I hook it direct to the battery.if you use the battery in your pc to power it you are ok.that way you are only hookedup from your data log or programming accerises. it won't interfear with your pc,or programming/data loging.
