I have a fresh built 355. It has a melling mtc1 cam, shorty headers, egr deleted. I also have a chip from Harris Performance. It only has a few hours on it including cam break in. It runs great when taking it easy on the throttle. I've even had it up to 70 and in 5th/OD. if I try to get into the throttle too much though it bogs, it's still trying to rev and does slowly but seems like it is starving for gas. From what I've read this weekend online it seems that I need to put an ep381 fuel pump in it and replace the regulator spring to up the pressure. I Just honestly don't know if that's the problem or not. Any help would be appreciated. Also my timing is set to 0. Should I maybe advance it a couple of degrees and see if that helps. I keep hearing about pinging. I have no idea what pinging sounds like. Plus my exhaust is so loud and the fan is loud. I'm not sure I could hear pinging if I knew what it did sound like.
