    Update! -95 Camaro trouble

    Solved!!

I found a wire under the protection hose with electrician tape, removed the tape and the wire just broke straight off!
(BTW, it was the pink Ignition power supply (D3), it can explain my troubles with emissions)

    Now it runs just fine.

    Hi!

I got a 1995 Camaro Z28 that starts and stops.

When I turn the igniton ON whitout cranking the engine, the fuelpump primes - and then ~2s later both fans start.
If i try to crank the engine it starts, but the fuelpump doesnīt run, so it getīs lean and dies.

I tryed to scan for codes, but when the fans start, the computer disconnects.
    No SES light.

When I jump the fuelpump by the testconnector, the engine starts and runs, both fans still running.

What can cause this kind of problem, bad PCM, VATS?

Oil pressure sensor disconnected or not working.
It should kick in when the oil pressure gets to a few pounds and bypasses the fuel pump relay.
Mine is on the back of the engine just below and to the left of the distributor.

It sounds like the computer has a power or ground issue. I'd check the ground wiring under the hood and that the battery ground cable which splits and goes to both the block and body are both connected. You could try jumper cables to bypass them as a test.

None of the GM injection systems had that feature. It's a big myth that the fuel pump runs with the oil pressure switch - You can even remove the switch as long as the relay is working.

actually that could be a bad ECM, bad flash, or a serious wiring fault preventing the ecm from booting up properly. when the fans run full time and you can't connect to the ALDL, that's bad news.

just for fun start pulling fuses and relays (everything except PCM BAT and PCM IGN) and see if you can keep the scanner connected?

    Ok, so a update.

First i have to say sorry for my bad english, I read and understand it better then I write :-)

I finally found the time to visit the car.

I thought about the grounds, and i have checked the ground in the PCM connectors, all fine. (Continuity test)

I then pulled all fuses and relays, left out both PCM fuses, still same problem.

I will try to find someone and try my PCM in another car. Hopefully thats the problem...
