Newbie with lt1 swap need help please

Hi I have an lt1 swapped into a muscle car, it has a 95 pcm that has been flashed with a 94 bin by a mail order place in canada. I just want to chang a couple small things but I have no idea what I am doing. I used eehack to download the bin from my pcm which worked at first. When I loaded it into tunerpro it looked like a lot of things made no sense. Tables with nothing but zeroes in them, three digit numbers for some of the shiftpoints, etc. I tried to download the bin several more times but now after downloading, when it asks if i want to save the files, the "save" button just remains highlighted and it does not save it. I think it is trying to save it in the tunerpro program. Does this make sense? Also when I modify the bin in tunerpro, do I need to modify both bin files? Why are there two? Thanks

there's just one bin file (actually two bins in one file)

    what xdf are you using?

not sure why you're having trouble reading the bin. usually its foolproof

I got the xdf from the eehack website. Two bins in one file? My only successful save of the bin created two files on my laptop. I can't remember the names of the files and I have deleted them because i thought something was wrong with them. Part of the problem is my lack of computer knowledge in general. Been using android for so long, I know little about pc's. Is it normal for the downloaded bin file to be saved within the tunerpro program?

no. eehack saves one bin file. it even asks you to name it, so unless somehow it asked you twice, how would it know what to call it?

i think you're just opening the wrong bin file

Ok finally figured out how to load proper bin and xdf. So now i see things that make sense, well mostly. All I want to do for now is uncheck the flag for dtc 97. This is keeping the tranny from shifting properly, I believe. But from what I have read on this forum, if the tuner who last flashed this pcm didnt use tunerpro as I am, I can't alter this bin and reflash? Reason I ask is the cylinder volume scalar reads zero and the injector flow rate constant reads 852.97 lbs/hr. Obviously something isn't quite right. Anyone?

i'd like to see where you read that; it's not true either way.

you might have an EEB bin. EEB is a weirdass 1994 version that nobody uses anymore.

this thread has an EEB.xdf but it's not very good compared to EEX.xdf. http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...rmation-EE-EEB

you can get an EE bin and flash that instead (reccommended)

how about post your bin file here let me have a look and see what's going on

Yes when I got a performance transmission built for this project, I had them build me a 1994 tranny. I was aware of the pwm tcc and also 3-2 solenoid issues when mixing years. Also, yes the eeb version idea that you mentioned is what I had read about on this forum, but me being so new to this, I misunderstood what it meant. I really appreciate your help Steveo, I know how frustrating this must be to walk someone through this. I promise I am only have as stupid as I appear. Also I believe I have attached the bin to this reply but I don't know if I did it right. Let me know please.

I have seen bins from aftermarket "chips" that change the checksum routine or write the checksum to a different address. So it is possible that a bin can't be modified by tunerpro and written back with the normal checksum setup unless you were to identify the checksum routine modifications and change them back using a binary editor or some other method.

Do the later operating systems not support non-pwm 4l60e transmissions? I would think it would just be some calibration changes but maybe not.
