    Difference between $8d.xdf and 8d.xdf

I have been trying to find what the $ indicates on the file in various file listings in this forum.

    Hi, Bob.

$ is a "secret code" that tells geeks the number that follows is hexadecimal. In the case of the definition files here, 8d and $8d can be considered to be the same thing.
