    16197427 Memcal question

I just acquired a 16197427 ecm, harness and tb from the junkyard, however I somehow overlooked that the doner was a v8 with a BJYK. Can I go back and see if I can find just the memcal from a v6 to use with this ecm, or is there a way to make this memcal work as a v6 memcal? I am going to be using this in a cj7 i6 258.

Since you're going to have to tune it for your engine there wouldn't be a difference between the memcals. The only difference between the v6 and v8 memcals is the limp home mode which i doubt would work well with your engine anyways. But if you think/know your engine will run with the v6 chevy limp home mode you should for extra peace of mind.

The cylinder select is different between a V6 memcal and the V8 memcal. I would be willing to trade you a V6 memcal for your V8 memcal, send me a private message if your interested. dave w

I was trying to get aldl working to test the pcm last night and was not having any success, Im going to run by the junk yard at lunch today and see if I can get another pcm from a v6. If it works I will test the memcal I have now in it as well and would be happy to trade it with you if it does in fact work.

I have an Auto transmission. I know that the 7427 can controll transmissions, but I have not even started looking into how that would work with my jeep.
