Thanks, this is enough information to get us started
I was just reading about folks putting one of those truck bodies on an S10 chassis. If you got a 2WD 4.3 truck, it's pretty easy to toss in a V8 and run it off the same ECN- your ECM mods could literally be plug and play if you went with a TBI 4.3 to a TBI 5.7 (literally unplg the 4.3 ECM and plug in a 5.7 ECM, or if you wanted to get complicated you could swap out a few chips.
I've done a 4WD V8 swap in an S-series, it wasn't that hard (do bear in mind my 4WD system at the time wasn't factory- I went SAS first). Apparently an advantage of going with the S-series frame swap is that you get modern braking, steering, suspension, etc, all in one fell swoop, while only really having to design body mounts.

thanks for the information, we already have the chassis and body all set just need to make ecm and wiring work. i never thought about using a S-10 chassis.
Cool, I'd love to see some pics!
