Father and son project from Fort McMurray Canada

    Hello,

I was fortunate enough to have a friend sell me a '94 blazer 1500 with reman jasper 383 after my house and all burned. Its a great project bringing my father (retired auto mechanic and stock racer closer). Currently we are trying to diagnose a new intermittent issue ( old girl shutters at random times) we believe it may be ignition related but more likely wiring. No codes are being thrown so I am attempting to learn data analysis through tuner pro RT. I look forward to learning some new and appreciating some old school tech at the same time.

    - Thanks for the opportunity

Hello and welcome to the forum! Intermittent problems can be a real pain to find. The diagrams for the pcm etc should be here: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...Information-0D or here: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...Information-E6 The wiring is basically the same between these two masks but when you datalog or are editing your calibration, the locations of parameters are in different places in the bin etc. You can pull the cover on your PCM and read the 4 letter code on the memcal. You can look up what mask you are using in this spreadsheet. http://www.gearhead-efi.com/gearhead...C%20lookup.xls

My .02...check the spark plug wires in case they are arcing against the engine or body when you hit bumps or turns? Might watch for the arcing at night with all lights out or maybe a water bottle spray on the wires for engine stumble or spark jumping. (check distributor cap inside also).
