I am wanting a little more "Umph" from my present TBI engine in my M38A1.

What I have now is basically a copy of the 90 or 91 tbi caprice engine.
Factory 5.7 TBI and intake. Fuel pressure 15 psi
193 heads with valve rotators on intake and exhaust
flat pistons w/ 4 reliefs
Sealed Power CS-808 .410"/.428" 206/210 @117

What I have on hand.

Heads:
193 heads described above

Engine Quest 062 copy vortec heads with roller rockers and 7/16 studs

Intakes:
Edelbrock 2912 Victor JR vortec 2bbl intake and late model BBC Throttle body (61 lb injectors and 30lb spring)

Complete factory L31 intake with spider and sensor harness wiring

Camshafts:
Comp 08-409-8 cam .458"/.458" 206/210

LT4 Hotcam .492"/.492" 218/228

Howards 180245-10 .500"/.510" 225/231

Has anyone on the board used the factory L31 intake with a 16197427 in MPFI mode? I know Phil (pmkls1) was going to try it but seems like the thread died. Right now the engine pulls hard from 2000 ~ 4000 and then falls off quickly. I have 3.73 gears and 33" tires. At 60 MPH, engine is turning approx 2400-2500 rpm. I have simulated the above combos using desktop dyno but am concerned that lower rpm driveability will suffer heavily with the Howards cam. I will attach my cam files if anyone wants to simulate themselves. What I am asking is what would you use considering what I have on hand?

Thanks in advance

Brian
