You will also need a cable to datalog with, such as the ALDU1 (with the appropriate cable for your application).

I already have the cable I have been using it to datalog. what I would like to now is if I have to have the ostrich and the aldl cable hooked up at the same timeOriginally Posted by Six_Shooter

Yes, in order to both emulate and datalog you will need both plugged in.
You have two options:
1) Use a USB hub to connect both devices to your tablet. However it seems that sometimes people will end up with the devices enumerating every time they are connected and need to re-assign ports in TP RT everytime.
2) Get an AutoProm, this is a one USB cable solution that emulation, datalogging, and EEPROM programming all in one. There are also addition analog channels that can be monitored with an AutoProm that you wouldn't otherwise be able to monitor.

well I already ordered the ostrich and a G1 adapter that I will need to install the ostrich into my ecm. I will just have to do one at a time.
Why is the USB hub not an option?

It is an option but I like to keep things as simple as possible and I am not sure how it will work with my $30.00 android tablet
I just may upgrade the tablet.
Picked up a USB hub adapter at walmart and I am able to data log and run the ostrich at same time.
unforginitly I am having a problem with the cable connecting to the G1 adapter, I wil try and slightly bend the
pins so it sits in tighter.
