I'm confused. I am thinking the original computer for the 94 K1500 with a 5 speed would be part # 16196396. So please help me understand without, confusion and with 100% certainty, you have computer 16196395? I've posted information from two different sources showing a 94 K1500 with a 5 speed uses chip code BDUJ with ECM 16196396.

GM used computer 16196395 for the 4L80E automatic transmissions http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...Information-OE

There are numerous wiring differences between the 16196395 vs. 16196396 computers. The connectors are different 16196395 vs. 16196396 computer. The 16196395 has red / blue computer connectors. The 16196396 has black computer connectors. The 16196395 uses a 64K 27512 PROM Chip. The 16196396 uses a 4K 2732 PROM Chip.

To accomplish a successful swap ... it all boils down to Technical Details .... Technical Details and even more Technical Details!

One option for a successful swap, that allows using the 16196395 computer you have is to custom program a 64K 27512 PROM Chip.

I strongly DISAGREE that chip BDUJ will work with the 16196395 ECM. Your truck will like the 16196395 ECM, with a CUSTOM PROGRAMMED PROM CHIP

How many knock sensors are there. I thought I saw two, a diagram shows three, and the auto parts store says their book shows there is only one...

The 4.3 liter has TWO Knock Sensors. The 5.7 liter has ONE knock sensor. The diagram show BOTH the 4.3 liter and 5.7 liter, which makes it look like there are THREE knock sensor. I guess the diagrams have FINE PRINT?

Hey. I have the harness and computer from a 93 Astro van that was tbi. The ecu is16168625 BFMY. This harness looks almost identical to my 94. And it has both injectors. What do you think?

The V8/Stick trucks had the 160 baud ECM in themm The 4.3 trucks often had the newer PCMm

Yea V6s had two sensors, 350 only had one. All different part numbers. 350 Auto and Manual had different sensors as well. The 93+ stick trucks still used an ESC module.

Cool. The harness looks like it should plug right in. Will I still need the G1 memory adapter and some blank chips or do I need something different now? Is this it? http://www.moates.net/gp1-package-gm...hips-p-41.html... Also, what do I need to burn the new chip with the right info. Or do you do that? If so what do you charge? I don't plan on doing this again so I hate to buy a bunch of stuff to only use once. It's just a stock 1991 tbi 350 out of a chevy pickup. In a 1994 Astro w/ the factory auto tranny (4L60E I think). that I lifted 3" and put a burban T-case in. The exhaust is shorty headers and side pipes. Oh, and 30" tires if that matters. Plan to use it mostly for pulling my camper trailer. Look forward to hearing from you.

Again, Thanks a ton for the help...
