    Surface temp of the ECU

What is normal for the outside surface temp of an ecu like the 7747? Do they get warm? Hot?
I noticed the other day that mine is getting very hot. Normal or should I be concerned?

They can get warm. Sometimes if they're tucked under the dash near the heater they build up a lot of heat. The modified 7749 in my Cavalier used to drive (4) TBI type injectors and that one got quite warm.
