I need help getting my laptop to talk to my truck

I have a Jeep truck with a 4.2L running a DIY GM TBI system. I gotta do some data logging but I can NOT get the lap top to talk to the truck. The #'s I'm getting back are all static and non moving.

I am using the Moates auto prom.

I have a recent definition (xdf?) File loaded.

Can somebody walk me thru the sequence? What windows to open, which buttons to press? I've done this in the past but it's been a while.

    Thanks.

To datalog, you need an *.adx file. What ecm are you using?

Here is an adx file http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...1&d=1375131735
Load the adx file by clicking Acquisition and Load definition file in tunerpro rt.
Have you confirmed your settings in tunerpro? The moates link I sent shows the switch settings and how to configure acquisition.

By confirmed you mean go into preferences? Yes I've done that. I followed the directions on Moates step by step and now I'm getting an error when I hit start/stop scan:just says connecting in a grey box. . . "Da:connecting"

That is the adx I'm using

I'd also like to add that I'm having no issues directly reading or burning chips.

I'm running the same ECU in my truck. I had a similar issue but have just gotten it to respond. Please PM me if you need help.
