VSS Questions/Issues

So, I've tried searching the forum via google to find an answer to my little problem here. I ordered a JTR 2PRS VSS back in February and apparently they still haven't built them. "Oh we'll ship them out one of these months" was the response I got on the phone. At that point, I requested a refund via paypal. Is there a way to program the 7427 computer to divide the incoming VSS signal? My Grand Wagoneer has an 8k VSS stock, and I thought I had heard/read somewhere that the 7427 could compensate for this.

Same issue, but different solution...

What would I need to alter in the $OE 7.4L 5 speed .bin that I am using in order to completely disable VSS related functions? Is it too embedded into everything to bother? I've only really started playing with the programming a few days ago and the truck isn't yet road worthy to see how the missing VSS will influence it.

One option to convert the 8k VSS down to 2K would be use the Digital Dakota SGI-5 interface unit: http://www.dakotadigital.com/pdf/sgi-5c.pdf

I am about to pull the trigger on the Dakota unit, however I sear I had heard somewhere that the 7427 can be programmed/adjusted for different pulse VSS. Am I wrong or am I just not looking hard enough?
