Started my conversion. Need Help. Please

I had a pick up coil in a camaro years ago get me. I don't remember what ohm, but the book gave me a number and then leave it hooked up and spin the distributor and the ohm value should move. if I remember right, the numbers weren't right and didn't fluctuate when spun. replace it, it matched the book dropped it back in the car and it was fixed. weird little things but cheap and worth replacing when you have the distributor out anyways.

I understand there is three test that you can do with a pick-up coil.

Test 1.
Use multi-meter to for the voltage being delivered to ICM should be between .3 and 1.5 volts AC
hook up positive and negative lead to pick-up and turn distributor to get volts.

Test 2.
Check for dead short. Check each white and green separately to ground for continuity. Should be infinite.

Test 3.
Check the ohm of the pick-up coil. Should be between 500-1500 ohms. Green and white wires to multi-meter and read ohms.

If either test 2 or test 3 doesn't check out replace pick-up coil.
