    1228062 To 1227747

I have a 89 S10 Blazer 4x4 4.3 TBI 700r4 transmission, moderate cam and a few other upgrades, I have a (Harris chip/prom) installed in the 1228062 now, been using the aftermarket chip for the last 8 years cause it runs better then the stock prom and passes smog with the cam I have installed, then I say it runs better I mean it runs ok.

    Camshaft Specs.

Hydraulic Roller Tappet. Duration @.050 .204 Intake .204 Exhaust.
    Lift: .450 Intake .450 Exhaust. RPM Band: 1200 - 4800.
112 degree LCA. Part Number: 131252 Grind Number: RR-252

I am going to try my hand at burning, I have a cable, 1227747 with flash Chip conversion 27SF512 (thanks Dave) and I am looking at the Burn 2

My question: is this do-able? I know the 1227747 will plug right into the connectors (should not have to repin) I understand the 1227747 was also used in GM trucks/vans with 4.3’s from 87-92 and I know I have to use a calpac from a 4.3 too. Been looking at the bins and the only one I found for a 4.3 s10 was for a manual trans. So I don’t know if It would be a nightmare to try and tune

    Any help would be appreciated.

Very doable, plug and play. I was running my cammed 3.4 with an 8062 $4E, and switched to a 7747 $42.
