I am not.. I know very little of tuning beyond the basics of a carb. I know tiny bits about diesel tuners and all the plug and play crap but that's about it.

The heartbeat of tuning a fuel injection system is the tuning software. I would not attempt to build / assemble an engine without a torque wrench; like wise I would not spend $$$ on modifying a fuel injection engine without learning the proper tuning tools (software). I think back to when I built my first engine, I had lots of things to learn. Tuning a fuel injection system provides many opportunities to learn new things, just like building an engine for first time provides many new things to learn. The downside to learning how to tune a fuel injection system ... there is not a factory manual on how to "Tune" the chip.
It's an internet MYTH that has been BUSTED over and over, knowing the engine specs does not provide enough information for a "Tuned" chip.

Totally on the same wavelength dave w. I laugh when people don't understand why you use torque wrenches. I've helped on a few mild builds but it's definitely the first time it's my build
