Pasting Excel data into TunerPro Table

    Dave W.:

Trying to paste MS Excel data into TunerPro RT table. Perform Control C of data in MS Excel, then go to TunerPro table with same characteristics, highlite complete table and hit Control V. The data in the TunerPro table does NOT change. Must be missing something simple. Don't know what. Reinstall TunerPro? Please advise. Thanks.

Here is the procedure. Copy data from Excel. Open TunerPro table and highlight the data to be pasted. Right click and paste starting at cursor. See attached screenshot:

    Dave:

Attached is the BRDW binary file. Also is the MSExcel file that you posted as a Vortec timing table that I was trying to incorporate into BRDW binary. Sure would be nice to know the method of pasting Excel data into TunerPro tables. Thanks.

When I opened the BRDW.bin file, the code mask shows $63.

According to the TunerCat website $63 was used for 96 - 97 C/K Truck, L05 EXPORT ONLY.

Maybe someone has a TunerPro $63 .xdf they are willing to share?

So, without a TunerPro $63 .xdf you CAN NOT use TunerPro to edit / make changes to the BRDW.bin file.

Try using the modified .xls to copy paste with (open throttle only), see attached.

Attached is the closed throttle spreadsheet.

The original spreadsheet was an exact copy / paste from a Vortec .bin file.

I reconfigured the spreadsheets to exactly match the $OD, OE, E6, & $31 definitions. I think you skipped over the reconfiguring step, which is why it would not copy paste.

Dave: Loaded that Vortec Timing Work Sheet into the binary. It really works VERY GOOD. Was unaware that .xdf file is somewhat unique as is the .bin file for the vehicle configuration specific application. Question: Was able to get ignition map tracing to work yet not the VE map tracing. Thought both were set up properly. Any comments concerning tracing? Please advise. Thanks.
