    Jet DST fuel cutoff

hey hello there i have the Jet DST software and had to try on two GMC sierra 2011 and 2008 5.3 v8

i want them to bounce off the rev limiter quickly for what i did is went to

constant>system parameter>extreme fuel cutoff RPM 6100 extreme fuel resume RPM 6098
table>system table> fuel cutoff vs RPM changed both Park and Neutral to 6100

no when i test it i goes all the way to 6100 and stay there without bouncing off

    help please

Why would iy bounce off? You have the defuel set at 6100 and refuel at 6098 rpm. Try increasing your deltas to around 6100defuel and 5900rpm refuel.

Not sure why you want this to happen though.

What specifically are you trying to achieve ?

The Rev Limiter system uses an RPM margin (hysteresis) to modulate the Maximum RPM (where a Fuel cut will occur), and the subsequent Re-enable RPM (where Fuel will be re-enabled).

"Bouncing" off the Rev Limiter is common jargon - but not exactly how the system works.

In the video that you linked, the vehicle is using Spark cut to limit RPM. Other than having a distinctive sound, this RPM rev limit method may not be the best for the engine - it can allow raw fuel to build up in the cylinders. For rev limiting, Fuel cut (as you are currently using) is probably the least damaging to the engine.

You'll need an MSD or other aftermarket rpm control device. It's not built into the stock computers.

I use Tunercats and I can make and blackbox and 0411 do that. And they sound exactly like it does in the video. If 6100 defuel, 5900 defuel is too slow, then tighten them up until you get what you want. A 6100 defuel and 6098 refuel will sound like a constant buzz.

Attachment 10244 see the picture there is an X on the ETC cutoff if i remove it and tick the spark cutoff will that work ? because i removed the X without puting the X on spark and it didn't work

I don't have Jet DST ... assuming it is similar to Tunercat.

There would be at least 4 steps required:

    1. go to Switches>Calibration Options: put an "X" in "RPM Limit Spark Control" (remove the "X" from RPM Limit ETC Control)

    2. go to Constants>System Parameters: set the Extreme Fuel Cut / Resume RPMs to about 500 RPM above (i.e. 6600 / 6500) the actual limit you want (this is the Master Rev Limiter - it needs to be higher than where you want to set the Spark Cut Rev Limiter)

    3. go to Tables>System Tables>Fuel Cutoff RPM vs Gear: set this table to where you want the Spark Cut Rev Limiter (i.e. 6100 RPM)

    4. go to Tables>System Tables>RPM Limit Control Method Change Delay vs Gear: this table will control the delay (in seconds) in changing from Spark Cut to ETC (Throttle Cut) as the Rev Limiter (i.e. set it to between 5 and 10 seconds)

Try this at your own risk ...
