    GM Ignition Module control

Hey guys! not sure if this is where this should be posted but I'm hoping someone can help.

I am curious to know how the gm 7/8 pin modules are controlled. Or what it takes to build a coil driver.

What I am interested in doing is a DIY solution for simply pulling timing under boost with a carb setup. I know the 5 pin modules will pull a few degrees out and I know I can put a check valve in the vacuum advance pod and have the advance help me off boost but I would like something a little better so I was thinking about trying to program something up with an arduino or something to simply read map and tell the module what timing needs to be.

Should be fairly simple but I'm not sure how the module interprets timing.
