    Post VE Table Smoothing Spreadsheet

First, I can not take any credit for this work. I found this spreadsheet on another forum and simply made it big enough for use with the $EE mask. It can probably be used with any other mask, you would just need to change the RPM & MAP values accordingly as they appear in your tables.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    1. Cut and Paste your VE% from your table into the spreadsheet table titled "ORIGINAL VALUES".

    2. Smoothing Factor:
Below the bottom right table is cell labeled "SMOOTHING FACTOR" highlighted in yellow. Changing this single yellow smoothing factor will change all the smoothing factor values in the table titled "FACTORS" so that you do not have to do it individually by hand.

The smoothing factor works on values based 0-100.
0 corresponds to the MOST smoothing.
100 corresponds to the LEAST smoothing.
For example, using a smoothing factor of 100 will generate the exact same VE table you entered to begin with.

    3. The new VE table you cut and paste to your .bin is the table titled "FACTORED VALUES".

below the "FACTORED VALUES" table is 3-D surface map of the VE table.
This surface map displays values from the "FACTORED VALUES" table only.
If you watch the surface map as you step-down the smoothing factor from 100 to 0 you can see the table smooth out right before your eyes.

Interesting concept but it appears to have issues on the left side and above 3200rpm. In the center towards the top of the smoothed table it averages the cell plus every cell adjacent to it. But, at the left and above 3200rpm it's averaging cells 2 rows down and no cells above or it's only averaging the cells to the left, right and above.

lionelhutz thanks, I see exactly what you're talking about. I believe I have fixed the error. Let me know if you see anything else, as there may have been issues expanding the table.

It looks much better now. I'd turn off the show formulas though.
